New River Conservancy and Appalachian State University are hosting the New River Symposium, April 11 and 12, 2019. Please join us for this multidisciplinary conference and celebration of the New River Watershed.


Who should attend? Teachers, researchers, community leaders, government officials, stewards, river keepers, planners, boaters, birders, anglers and friends from up and down the old New. Traditionally, the New River Symposium has been a multi-disciplinary conference, open to all with either a professional or amateur interest in the New River.

Student Registration

If you are an active student, you will be able to attend the New River Symposium for FREE!

Lodging

The Symposium has secured lodging at Camp Broadstone for $15 per night.
If you are interested in making a reservation with Camp Broadstone,
