DESCRIPTION:Please register for our New River Clean Up from Windy Hill to Conley Cheek on Saturday June 6\, 2026 \n.\nPlease meet at  (36.299190\, -81.468807) 1176-1486 State Rd 1169\, Fleetwood\, NC 28626  at 10:00 AM to set shuttle\n\n\n.\nSpring into the New this June and Join our clean stream team to help clean North America’s Oldest River.\n.\nThe New River Conservancy will supply all tools and equipment for this clean up with additional support from our partners; NC State Parks\, Keep Ashe Beautiful\, NC Wildlife Federation’s High Country Wild Chapter and NC Works.\n.\nDress to get dirty and bring plenty of water as well as a light lunch.\n.\nPlease bring your own set of waders if you have them and wear layers with warm head gear.\n\n.\nREGISTER HERE\n\n.\nUpon completion of this registration you will be contacted by New River Conservancy Clean Up Coordinator Will Sowards with further information.\n.\nQuestions? DESCRIPTION:On 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲\, Saturday\, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟔\, the 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐞 will 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝟐𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 to 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲. \nLand trusts are non-profit organizations that preserve the health and heritage of our natural spaces. Also known as conservancies\, land trusts may work with landowners to safeguard family farms\, create accessible public parks\, protect wetlands and wildlife habitats\, or provide recreational opportunities everyone can enjoy. \nFor more than 50 years\, the New River Conservancy has protected the waters\, woodlands\, and wildlife within the New River Watershed.
