DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, July 25 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM for this free event at The New River’s Edge in Pembroke\, VA as we celebrate 51 years since the founding of the National Committee for the New River\, the New River Expedition 2026\, and the expansion of the New River Water Trail. \nThis yearly event will have hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixin’s\, live music\, and our yearly Awards Ceremony. \nPlease register for  ANNUAL MEETING \nWant to paddle with us before the meeting? SUMMARY:Journey's End - Grand Finale at the Gaines Estate
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate the Journey’s End of the New River Expedition 2026 and bid a final farewell to the amazing crew at the historic Gaines Estate in Fayetteville\, WV on Sunday\, August 9\, 2026 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. \nWe are excited to bring to you one final chance to meet the New River Expedition crew live and in person. Talk to Abbey\, Anastasia\, Dave and Lucy about their journey through almost the entirety of the New River\, and their adventures along the way. \nFind out what’s next for the New River Water Trail and the benefits it could bring to your community. \nMeet the Executive Director of the New River Conservancy and many of the staff from the watershed. \nA cocktail hour plus presentation from the crew will be highlights of the afternoon at the Gaines Estate\,  a restored 1920’s era mansion that sits on 192 acres in downtown Fayetteville\, WV .  The estate is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. \nTickets for this incredible afternoon are just $20 and include hors devours and soft drinks.  A cash bar with beer\, wine and cocktails will be available in the main house for the event. \nTICKETS  \n  \nwww.efergusonphotography.com

DESCRIPTION:Please register for our Peak Creek Clean  on August 10\, 2026\nSave the date! It’s our annual walk the creek cleanup with our partners\, Friends of Peak Creek. We need volunteers who aren’t afraid of getting dirty and wet!\n\nWe will wade from Duncan Bridge to Heritage Park and keep trash from getting to Claytor Lake and the New River.
