Lansing took quite a beating during Helene and needs many hands to help it recover.\n.\nBring food\, water and dress for cold weather.\n.\nWADERS ARE RECOMMENDED !  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE WADERS\, WE HAVE SOME TO BORROW.\n.\nMeet at Lansing Creeper Trail Park @ 114 S Big Horse Creek Road\, Lansing\, NC (If weather prevents us on this date\, our back up date is February 1\, 2025.)\n.\nWe’re stoked that this cleanup is a collaboration between New River Conservancy\, Mountain True\, Keep Ashe Beautiful and Trout Unlimited. SUMMARY:Zaloo's to Roan Creek Clean Up:
DESCRIPTION:Please register for our Zaloos Clean Up.  On February 15th we will be cleaning the section between Zaloo’s and Roan Creek. Start time of 10:00 am. NRC will coordinate with the landowner and the county about getting a dumpster at Roan Creek. Keep Ash Beautiful will provide trash pickers\, trash bags and gloves.\n.\nWADERS ARE REQUIRED! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE WADERS\, WE HAVE A LIMITED SUPPLY OF WADERS TO BORROW.  We will be floating and the conditions may be cold and challenging. This will be a risky cleanup.\n.\nEveryone will meet at Zaloos at 10:00 am and be off the river by 3:00 pm. Zaloo’s will provide the shuttle and hopefully a few canoes depending on how many volunteers register. NRC will be able to provide at least one raft and three canoes if needed. Wear good boots\, and bring rubber boots if you have them. It will be cold\, so we’ll be looking to stay dry. Bring your own lunch and water. We look forward to seeing you!\n  \nREGISTER HERE
