Meet Noah Flowers
Intern: Appalachian State University
Originally from South-Central Kentucky, Noah Flowers has been connected to the natural world from a very young age. Fishing and hiking with his brothers, working outdoors, and being an avid kayaker instilled in him a lifelong appreciation for environmental stewardship and access to the outdoors.
Noah is a Spring 2024 Sustainability and Environmental Studies graduate of Lindsey Wilson University, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Appalachian Studies with a focus on sustainability in Appalachia from Appalachian State University and is set to graduate in May of 2026.
Now residing in Boone, North Carolina, Noah lives just a stone’s skip away from the New River. He spends his free time wading in the New and pursuing his hobby in landscape photography. Whether working with New River Conservancy to restore the New River or just spending his free time nearby, Noah remains dedicated to capturing and preserving the beauty of the High Country and its communities.
