The New River begins in Boone, North Carolina and flows 320 miles through
Virginia and West Virginia where it eventually becomes a tributary for the Kanawha River.
As the River flows it provides habitat for the wildlife who live in the river and along the banks;
it provides recreation and relaxtion for the people who live in the neighborhoods and visit from out of town;
and it supports the economies of the communities it flows through. We rely on the partnerships
with locals in the communities to be the boots on the ground and boats
in the water to keep the River Clean.
