Live Stake Planting at Wagoner

📍 Meeting Location: New River State Park at Wagoner Access (1477 Wagoner Access Rd. Jefferson, NC 28640, 36.416028541657944, -81.3870495608459).
🕙 Time: 10:00 a.m.

This volunteer event, co-sponsored by the New River Conservancy, the NC Wildlife Federation’s High Country Wild Chapter, New River State Park, and Keep Ashe Beautiful, will focus on planting live stakes and potted trees along the tributaries at Wagoner Access. Our goal is to reduce erosion and create better habitat for local wildlife.

👉 What to Bring:

• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Rubber boots or sturdy shoes (waders recommended)
• Work gloves and garden shears, if available
• Water and snacks
