Baker Island Clean Up

Baker Island is a mile-long island in New River Trail State Park. The Park has asked the New River Conservancy to take the lead on cleaning the park of debris after Hurricane Helene. We’ll be collecting trash, bagging it and shuttling it by canoe and boat to the bank for disposal.

Wear good boots, and bring rubber boots if you have them. It will be cold, so we’ll be looking to stay dry. Bring your own lunch and water. We look forward to seeing you!
