Naked Creek Volunteer Planting Day

📍 Meeting Location: Naked Creek (36.41025860243167, -81.43414598264684), across from the Highlander Motel (891 NC-16, Jefferson, NC 28640)
🕙 Time: 10:00 a.m.

This volunteer event, co-sponsored by the New River Conservancy the NC Wildlife Federation’s High Country Wild Chapter, Mount Jefferson Natural Area, and Keep Ashe Beautiful, will focus on planting live stakes and potted trees along Naked Creek. Our goal is to reduce erosion and create better habitat for local wildlife.

👉 What to Bring:

• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Sturdy boots or shoes (waders recommended)
• Work gloves and garden shears, if available
• Water and snacks
