Symposium 2024 will once again celebrate the social, economic, and scientific value of the New River, bringing together the river’s diverse constituents and providing a forum for partnership, research, and policy development. This year’s theme is “Rivers Cubed – Reconnect, Restore, and Recreate” and will be held at Radford University in Radford, Virginia.
The New River Symposium is a bi-annual, multi-disciplinary conference open to all with either a professional or an amateur interest in the New River.
Previous presenters have included teachers, researchers, community leaders, government officials, stewards, river keepers, planners, boaters, birders, and anglers.
Who should attend: Teachers and students, researchers, community leaders and volunteers, government officials and their staff, scientists, engineers, stewards, outfitters, river keepers, planners, boaters, birders, swimmers, anglers, friends and their friends from up and down the New River and throughout the New River Watershed.
