Meet Mike Horn

Mike grew up in the Florida Keys and graduated from the University of Florida. His career has taken him to Washington, D.C, Los Angeles and Dallas before settling in Lewisville.

After a 40-year career as a communications professional, Mike redirected his energies in 2013 to pursue an abundance of other interests including the New River Conservancy. Mike has been on the Lewisville Town Council for 22 years with 10 as Mayor.  He was part of the group that secured Wild & Scenic River protection for the New River and was part of the effort to stop prison construction on the New River in Southwest Virginia.

Mike has kayaked almost all of the New River.
