Meet Stella Cybulski
Operations Coordinator
Stella’s first interaction with the New River Conservancy was in 2021 when she took a group of high school students on a two-week journey to canoe from the headwaters of the New River to the Virginia State line. The New River Conservancy (NRC) helped explain and teach her students to work together to protect those who live downstream of us. NRC staff even brought them donuts after a long hard day of canoeing in the rain. The trip and the support of the New River Conservancy were life-changing for her and her students.
Stella earned her Master of Public Administration focusing on nonprofit management at Appalachian State in May 2024 and is now a future PhD candidate at Clemson University. She worked eight years in the nonprofit sector before returning to school full-time to further her education with the dream of lifting up the nonprofit sector. Although she started the summer of 2023 off as an intern, everyone at NRC is excited to welcome her to the team as the Operations Coordinator.
Stella is excited to bring her skill set and knowledge to our team as she helps develop and build our programs year-round.
