Meet Metz Prause
Water Quality Tech
Originally from Charleston, SC, Metz has grown up in a family that loves being on the water, and as an Eagle Scout, developed an appreciation for the outdoors and their natural beauty.
Beginning as a sailing instructor at a summer day camp in Charleston and on Lake Erie, he has also assisted with environmental toxicology research at The Citadel, focusing on the prevalence and consequences of microplastics in local aquatic ecosystems. Combining this field of study with my prior work and experience, Metz became the Ecology & Conservation Area Director at Boy Scouts of America Camp Rockefeller in Damascus, Arkansas.
Metz is currently finishing his bachelors degree in environmental geography & sustainability at Central Connecticut State University and is working with NRC over the summer.
